Carla has a varied background of experience in the NHS and private hospitals. These include orthopaedics, neurology, respiratory, musculo-skeletal and elderly rehab.
As with veterinary patients, all human patients undergo an assessment before a treatment plan is put together. Treatments can be similar to those used on animals, such as manual therapies, electrotherapies and exercise.
The cost of human physiotherapy sessions is £40 per hour (+ travel).
** OAP's qualify for a 25% discount on all assessment and treatment prices **
All treatment takes place in the comfort of your own home, as the service is fully mobile.
Evening and weekend appointments are available for human and animal patients.
THIS MEANS TREATMENT TIMES THAT ARE CONVENIENT FOR YOU (NO NEED TO TAKE TIME OFF WORK) AND
NO NEED TO GET CHANGED AND RUSH OUT THE DOOR -
THE SERVICE COMES TO YOU!
Massage
Before training to be a Chartered Physiotherapist, Carla did a two year course in Sports Therapy. The course included extensive training in Swedish body massage and Sports Massage. Massage is often used in conjunction with other physiotherapy techniques, but can also be used as a stand alone treatment.
Massage can be applied to any area of the body and the techniques used are adapted to the tissues and aim of the treatment session. For example, the treatment could be aimed towards relaxation, or it could be for a pre-competition warm-up.
Carla's speciality treatment is a 30 minute back massage, which can be aimed at relaxation, or can be combined with other physiotherapy and soft tissue techniques to find and treat problem areas.
The cost of a massage treatment is £20 (+ travel) for 30 mins and £40 (+ travel) for a one hour treatment.
