Carla qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2001. She obtained her BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy degree from the University of Hertfordshire. She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) and a Category A member of ACPAT. Carla is also a member of the Health Professions Council (HPC), which is a requirement for physiotherapists to work in the National Health Service (NHS). ?xml:namespace>?xml:namespace>

In 2007, Carla completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy the Royal Veterinary College (University of London). Prior to studying at the Royal Veterinary College, Carla also completed the ACPAT Core Knowledge and Skills course. Her qualifications in veterinary physiotherapy mean she is now a Category A member of ACPAT and is fully insured to treat animals. |

Carla is keen to progress her career, and is always looking out for courses and opportunities to learn more and expand her knowledge skills. |

Carla divides her time between treating human and animal patients. |

Carla has always had an interest in animals. From a young age, she took horse riding lessons and helped out at a local riding school every weekend for three years when she was a teenager. She has taken a number of the British Horse Society Stage examinations, to improve her knowledge of horse care and stable management. She currently owns a horse of her own and enjoys not only riding, but groundwork and bodywork activities. |

Carla has owned dogs in the past and is currently the owner of three cats – two rescued from the RSPCA, the other a rescued stray. |
| Carla also lectures on the 'Introduction to Hydrotherapy' course at Hawksmoor Hydrotherapy Training Centre on a regular basis, educating students about the how physiotherapy and hydrotherapy work closely together to rehabilitate canine patients. Carla has also lectured to Human Physiotherapy students about veterinary physiotherapy at Coventry University. |
