Furry Friends Physio Furry Friends Physio

Cost

The cost of physiotherapy includes a full assessment of the animal, including obtaining information from the vet and/or owner about the present complaint and its effects on the animal.  We then look at the animal on the move, assessing his / her gait at various paces where relevant.  We look at all his / her joints including those of the spine and all the limbs, to see of there are any restrictions.  We also assess the soft tissues of the body and locate any painful areas that might require treatment.  Treatment will then take place based on the findings of the assessment, all of which will be explained to the owner, and be made known to the animal’s vet, by a written report, at the end of the treatment course.

Travel cost for animals treated at home is based on distance of address where animal is kept from the Furry Friends Physio base.  If you are having a dog treated, and are paying a considerable amount in travel costs, you may wish to consider attending your appointments at one of the listed hydrotherapy pools - it could work out cheaper.

An invoice will be issued but fees are payable at the time of assessment / treatment and no credit will be given.

You may wish to claim for your animal’s physiotherapy on your pet insurance, if you have it.  Many insurance companies will now cover physiotherapy fees, providing your vet has recommended the treatment and you ring and check with the insurance company before physiotherapy treatment commences.  Furry Friends Physio does not claim fees directly from insurance companies, so fees will need to be paid at the time of treatment, where a receipt will be issued to enable you to reclaim your fees.  Furry Friends Physio is happy to fill in any paperwork needed to allow you to make your claim.
